On Konquest it tells you that you take more damage when you are equipped with your weapon and I had noticed that this was true. Basically I had noticed the change in damage percentage when i did a combo against someone without a weapon and then performed it again when they had a weapon.
Eventually I noticed exactly how much extra damage was done.
It's only 1% more. But it's 1% for every 4% damage you do. This was confirmed when I began learning how to use Kitana.
Her maximum damge combo from Eagle claw is 40%. when the opponent has a weapon it's damage value increases to 50%. The same combo, if you leave off the last hit does 36%. With a weapon in their hands, it does 45%.
Basically 40% = 10 x 4 therfore you receive 10% extra damage. 1 % for the number of each 4% damage.
36% = 4 x 9 therfore you receive 9% extra damage, raising the total to 45%.
This is nothing serious but it shows that you should go for the big damage combos when your opponent has a weapon out! Try it yourself! Hope it helps!

The neijin would have made it harder to calculate damage as for every second after it is used is power slowly fades so you would get different amounts of damage for the same combo depending on how long you took to perform it!
I'm very aware of Kitanas Eagle Claw kicks. They're awesome!

what about standing next to the character and following up with a combo straight after. This way we will get a rough idea of how it works. BTW is it just 1% for every 4% with Kitana or is it universal with other characters? im gona have to make time to test your theory out nemesi

It'll be with everyone. I'm gonna test my theory out as well, but as i said, the observations started when i was using other characters and confirmed with kitana because it ws easier to work out the damage because her combos do damage that a multiples of 4!
